Everest Base Camp in Nepal sits at around 5,600m and welcomes many visitors including those heading for Everest summit. Base Camp is a bustling hive of activity, those aiming for the top of Everest will call it home for about two months as they head up and down the mountain for acclimatisation.
Trekking through the Khumbu valley you will see the famous glaciers, visit tea houses, Buddhist monasteries, and local bazaars. The landscape is like nowhere else with Everest peak (8848m) and Lhotse (the fourth highest mountain in the world - 8516m) clearly visible during your trek.
